Like living organisms, wearable technology

Beginning of this year we did an artist in residence in Vienna, making interactive fashion for the exhibition "Technosensual" in quartier21 (MuseumQuartier Vienna). It's an exhibition where fashion and technology meet. The exhibition itself is really pretty designed like you're walking through a future landscape and the other designs and artist are of an high quality.

About the interactive flesh garment:
It's a visualizing about when 2 people meet. The suit gets exited, stressed or perhaps in love... the veins start pumping quicker the closer you get. Like in a relationship you have to create a band to win trust. So if you dare to touch the suit, the neckpiece deflates and shows it vurnable sensual side (the neck).

Like living organisms; a breathing artificial skin garment with pulsing veins (air is pumping through the veins to simulate a pulse), the pulse increases when you approach and the neckpiece deflates on touch as sign of trust.

The veinsuit after painting.
Close up from the painted skin.
Really happy to see that people keep on touching the suit (it deflates on touch, so that's a good thing!).
